Thank-you Krishna!

This drawing came in response to the question, "How can I serve and love more?"

The answer is reaching out, but from a submissive posture... lovely!

Thanks Krishna!

This doesn't really look much like a persimmon... much more like an oddly colored apple.

And that was my problem. How do you entitle an idle drawing of a generic piece of fruit just to test the colors and brushes of a new painting app on my iPad? Who knew it would turn out so amazing? Anyway... I promise to do a real persimmon sometime soon...

Quite an attractive fruit actually, and certainly a very different orange from the illustration...

The color mixing and smudging options in the program are excellent... a bit of a learning curve, let's be honest, but the end result is amazingly creative control (with the resulting relaxation and natural spontaneity, of course).

Creativity is always a reciprocating gift to the Divine... the unlimited Source of ALL creativity, eh? This program makes offering such a gift potentially a lovely, heartfelt opportunity to express our humility and surrender our limited creativity to the Creator of All Creativity!

Comment on Okay So What About The Back Issues? by YFR

‘Reading’ of Back Issue Painting

Looking at our ‘back-issue painting’, with a glass or two of wine certainly ;-)

I see two light blue guys... the one on the left is smacking the one on the right... who is acquiescing and turning into a puppy-dog...

The ‘smacking’ is also exactly the crooked vertebrae in the middle of my back... the locus and focus for this weakness... (the whole image could be seen as metaphor of my actual back)

Immediate recall of that time at the Clarke Institute - big mental hospital in Toronto - when I was very frustrated by a patient and went into an empty room and slammed the pillows to the bed and hurt my back... right there in the middle...

My chiropractor has told me that I have a curved spine, but he has never elaborated... now I know exactly where the spine is curved... and why!

Certainly more than two ways to go forward...

One is to say... okay... we have a weakness there... but let’s not focus on the physical or fixing it... serve God, my dear ones, the short route...

Two is to take a few minutes to acknowledge those two guys and understand they were fighting about their values with the best intentions in the world... Just a bit ignorant.

I was both the bully and the bullee in grade school on numerous occasions. One guy who bullied me was named Billy Waltenberg who left a memorable impression but that may be another story... ;-)

And I did my share of bullying, thought I was beastly to my brothers and sisters mostly in a psychological way, rather than physically. Still beastly is beastly.

So I am happily both of these little blue guys and accept unreservedly their various and unique points of view, and the consequences of looking at the world in these ways...

[I am most certainly not, however, the behavior of either the bullies or their (our) victims. I like people!]

It is even said that Krishna loves to kill demons!

So let’s accept that we have all committed mayhem in a thousand different ways - and get on with waking up from this altogether too mayhem-liable region of consciousness...

[Overall of course there is this gorgeous line and colour... spectacular visual expression of the majestic mysteries of all life...

Look at that passage in the upper right... sort of like a cloud in front of the sun...]

Kris has made a wonderful additional observation here... Krishna is also known as Yogishvara... Lord of Yogies...

This means that He is the Lord and controller of our senses... because that is what all Yogas are attempting to do... control their senses...

This means that what you are actually sensing right now... this computer screen, this chair, this whisky buzz... these are all Krishna's!

It is not only the objects of our senses that are Krishna, but our very senses themselves are also Krishna! And the only way to master them... which is another way to say... release ourselves from their tyranny... is to surrender the the Supreme Yogishvara... The Master of the Senses!

We are liking this second image of The Lord...

The first one was amazing... yes... but this one has a certain lovely... 'je ne sais quoi'

Since Krishna can be anything - IS in fact EVERYthing at about eleven levels - virtually any depiction of His Lordship could be considered a possible potentiality... eh?

But there is something native and open and relaxed and gentle about this particular depiction that I just can't help but really enjoy...
